to large lot production PERFORMANCE PROFILE Fully automatic loading of long workpiece
bars directly into the chuck through the lathe spindle. For precision turning
tasks the closest-fitting guiding channel possible and a matching spindle filler
tube should be used. The continuous oil flow through the guiding channels and
the highly wear-resistant synthetic lining of the channels see to optimum smooth
running and relieve the stress on the machine spindle. In addition to the channels,
the workpiece bar is also guided by an exact-fitting centering steady rest. SPACE-SAVING
LOADING TECHNOLOGY The bar is fed into the lathe in two steps. The bar is first
pushed into the spindle filler tube of the lathe by a driver. A pusher, matched
to the guiding channel, then takes over further transport of the workpiece bars
in the lathe. The workpieces can be positioned alternatively against a limit stop
on the workpiece turret or by the pusher itself. When the chuck is opened, the
bar is moved on without delay and under control. HIGH-SPEED BAR CHANGES The remnants
of the bar are ejected into the chip compartment through the spindle (remnant
retraction to the rear optional). During machining of a workpiece the separator
of the loading magazine already places the next bar from the roller magazine in
the guiding channel. The driver pushes the bar into wait position. QUICK SWITCHING
OF GUIDING CHANNELS The guiding channels are made of aluminium half-shell profiles
with exact-fitting, cast linings of a highly wear-resistant synthetic material.
Joined together, they form a closed, wear-resistant and vibration-dampened channel.
Fastened with clips, they are changed without the need for tools. The standard
grading of the internal diameter is 5 mm. QUICK CHANGE OF SPINDLE FILLER TUBES
Breuning supplies individually manufactured spindle filler tubes for every type
of lathe. A matching spindle filler tube is just as important for precision turning
as a suitable guiding channel. To change the spindle filler tube of the lathe,
the upper part of the loading magazine is pushed linearly. PROFILED STOCK The
channels are closed on the sides, ensuring reliable feeding of all types of profile.
A pneumatic stopper enables quick insertion of a profiled bar into a turn-inhibited
collet. It is therefore also possible to process profiled bars precisely and highly
